Are you passionate about improving outcomes for victims/survivors of domestic abuse in London?

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and self-motivated person, with excellent problem solving, influencing and negotiating skills, to be the Greater London Authority’s lead on supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse in safe accommodation.

Working in close partnership with the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), you will be responsible for delivery of the Mayor’s new statutory duties to support victims/survivors in safe accommodation. These include implementing and reviewing London’s recently published Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Strategy and commissioning services.

You will ensure that the new duties to provide support are underpinned by the provision of more safe accommodation in the capital, by maximising delivery through the Mayor’s housing capital investment programmes.

A track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships and an understanding of the complex stakeholder landscape in London are key to the role, as you will work closely with senior officials from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, with housing and service providers, with members of the Mayor’s Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Partnership Board and the organisations they represent, and with other teams across the GLA’s Housing and Land Directorate and in other parts of the GLA (as well as with MOPAC).

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available.  Over the coming weeks and months, we will be moving to hybrid working as part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.

If you have a question about the role, please contact debra.levison@london.gov.uk or the recruitment process please email glarecruitment@engageats.co.uk quoting reference CO334.

Closing date: Sunday 13 February 2022 at 23:59 GMT.

Interview date: Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 03 March 2022.
