Post: Trust and Foundations Officer
Reports to: Head of Centre
Key Internal Relationships:

Primary Objectives:
The primary objective is to devise and implement funding strategies to achieve the fundraising targets through existing and new donors that include Trusts & Foundations, demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct and modelling behaviours and attitudes consistent with the role.
Key Tasks and Main Duties:
- To manage a portfolio of existing and prospective Trusts & Foundations
- Take a focussed and strategic approach to identifying new business prospects and lead on delivering high quality, creative and commercially relevant presentations and proposals for prospective partners
- Engaging the Head of Centre, Chairman and Board of Trustees in cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major prospect donors
- To contribute to the development and implementation of the longer-term fundraising strategy for the charity
- To attend Board and Sub Committee meetings as required, presenting reports and participating in debate
- To attend a number of business network events throughout the region
- Act as a positive representative for the DVLCC, engaging our key audiences with our organisational aims and forging profitable and long-term fundraising relationships
- Responsible for producing a monthly report and contributing to the overall fundraising strategy
Performance Management
- To keep abreast of developments, trends, legislation and best practice which are likely to impact upon the workings of the charity in relation to Trust & Foundation, and general income generation and to translate these into recommendations for changes to policy and practice within the Charity
- To maintain the Charity’s CRM database, so ensuring a consistent and well received process of donor care and development
- Develop strong and generative relationships with colleagues and trustees, ensuring consistent communication, engagement and support of fundraising plans and initiatives
- To raise the profile and reputation of the Charity in the fundraising sector
- To ensure all fundraising activities are developed and implemented in such ways as to protect and enhance the Charity’s internal and external reputation amongst staff, volunteers, current and potential supporters, the media and other stakeholders
- To represent the Charity externally to the media and at external events as required
