About the role
A national membership organisation and art charity has an opportunity for a Supporter Services Coordinator to join the team. This is a full-time permanent role offering flexible hybrid working options.
As the Supporter Service Coordinator, you will co-ordinate the delivery of inbound and outbound customer service and manage multi-channel communications to members, supporters, and the wider public by email, telephone, post and social channels, many of which are handles by outsourced suppliers who you will monitor. In addition, you will contribute from time to time on the wider delivery of supporter operations and the development of membership policies to support the development of the charity's membership offerings and associated products.
You will work closely alongside the Supporter Services Manager to develop relevant supporter procedures, policy documentation, training materials, and campaign briefings, as well as support the resolution of complex or escalated queries. You will also work alongside digital services and marketing teams contribute to a test and learn approach to ensure that the charity website's customer self-service aspects are servicing member needs.
You will have the following skills and experience:
* Substantial experience of working in a busy customer service environment, preferably within a supporter or membership environment
* Experience of dealing with difficult or complex queries and handling complaints from the public or supporters
* Experience of using database systems and recording data accurately
* Experience of facilitating training with groups and creating training materials around the delivery of procedures
* Computer literate, with excellent MS Word and Outlook skills
* Knowledge and awareness of Fundraising regulations, e.g. Fundraising Regulator, ICO, etc.
* Understanding of data protection and other areas of customer compliance, including in payment
