About the Roundhouse:
The Roundhouse is a hub of inspiration where artists and emerging talent create extraordinary work and where young people can grow creatively as individuals. We believe in the power of creativity to change lives. By giving young people the chance to engage with the arts through our music, media and performance projects, we inspire them to reach further, dream bigger, and achieve more.

About you:
We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same. We encourage those currently underrepresented across the cultural sector and all intersections of our diverse society to apply.

The Role:
Over the next year, we will be expanding our youth provision as we prepare to open our new creative centre for young people. We are looking for two Youth Work Managers to join our Youth Work team, responsible for supporting and encouraging a diverse range of young people (in particular those with multiple and complex needs) aged 11-25 to engage in creative opportunities at the Roundhouse. The two roles will work across our 7 day provision to provide the highest standards of service and support to young people using the Roundhouse Creative Studios and leading positive standards / expectations of other staff members. Working during studio opening times, the two roles will manage a team of part time youth workers and lead on the pastoral support and case management of young people, whilst overseeing the implementation and management of administrative systems and processes.

The successful candidates will be required to have a current and acceptable DBS check due to the nature of the role.

From modest Victorian beginnings – beginning life in 1846 as a steam-engine repair shed – to legendary cultural venue, the Roundhouse has an enviable heritage. The Grade II* listed building is now home to a bold and exciting programme of live music, theatre, dance, circus, installations and new media.

Young people are at the heart of everything we do. They're on our board and help plan and perform at our events. We offer a year-round schedule of creative projects for 11–25 year olds in 24 state-of-the-art studios, where facilities include TV, radio and music production, media suites and rehearsal rooms for music and performance.

It's the interaction between artists on stage and 11–25s that makes the Roundhouse unique.
Young people have interviewed Paul McCartney for Roundhouse Radio, filmed a documentary on NoFit State circus, and worked with Apple to deliver live streaming of events.

The Roundhouse employs about 105 permanent staff in a wide range of roles to help raise the £3m we need each year towards our artistic programme and work with young people.
