Woking, Surrey GU21 4LL

If you have mass, public-facing campaigns experience, this is an incredible opportunity to realise an ambitious new 3-year strategy that will help save the planet – our one, shared home. As the world’s leading independent conservation charity, we have recently launched a new internal approach to ensure we see a world where people and nature thrive. We are now focussing our resources on climate change, food systems and thriving habitats and species. Campaigning is going to be critical to success which is where your expertise is needed.

As a Campaigner you will be part of a new team involved in delivering mass engagement external impact campaigns. You will work closely with colleagues across departments to realise lasting change. You will maximise campaigns engagement using digital channels, using your creativity to reach and inspire new audiences through innovative strategy and tactical execution, so that we can mobilise our supporters and the wider public in support of our vital work. You will develop creative ideas and content as well as help produce films and digital experiences. You will also be involved in planning and executing content strategies across social, web and email. You will commission and interpret audience research to provide insight to shape future activity too. Importantly, you will build links with community groups, potential partners and external organisations in order to maximise our effectiveness.

For this role you must have experience of media and mass campaigning and been involved in developing and delivering public campaigns. This will have included producing or overseeing content across the digital spectrum. Proficient in planning, briefing and scheduling, you will be good at developing campaign messaging.  You will be used to monitoring performance, sharing learning and implementing programme improvements as well as working with external partners too. You will also possess excellent project management, relationship building, influencing and communication skills. A team player you are adept at overcoming obstacles and can demonstrate a passion for the natural world.

If you are passionate about making our world a better place through your work, we would love to hear from you. Please click on the link and apply via our website by submitting a copy of your up-to-date CV and the Supporting Statement to highlight what makes you a good fit for us.

Application closing date: 07/02/2022

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We are looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
