We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to take on the role of Director for a dynamic, community-oriented youth organisation. Rose Hill Junior Youth Club runs activities for children and young people aged 5 to 15 living in one of the poorest areas of Oxford. RHJYC also has a street-based outreach service, a mentoring service and an allotment. Managing the weekly Food Bank in Rose Hill provides an important way for staff to engage with and support local families. We are looking for a committed and innovative Director who will ensure that the RHJYC is run efficiently and effectively and develop further its engagement with the community of Rose Hill. The Director provides a lead in fundraising, supported by a part-time fundraiser and an experienced bid-writer, and also liaises with donors, ensuring that monitoring and evaluation requirements are met. Maintaining the safe provision of activities for children and young people involves leading a team of staff, sessional workers and volunteers as well as developing strong relationships with other agencies.
The post is 30 hours a week.
