Director of Fundraising - Mental Health UK

Salary: c£65,000 per annum (May be eligible for London weighting depending on your location)
Location: Home Based or Agile working 2 days from our London office
Hours: This is a permanent, 35 hours per week vacancy

Your role

There has, arguably, never been a more important time to work in mental health. At Mental Health UK, we have seen the devastating impact Covid-19 has had on the mental health of people across the UK. For many people who were already living with a mental health problem, the pandemic has exacerbated their condition. While many more in our society have found themselves experiencing poor mental health for the first time.

At this critical time, we are now looking for an experienced Director of Fundraising to join our passionate and determined team and help us realise the next phase of our ambitious strategy so that everyone has the tools they need to live their best possible lives. Is this you?

Working through our four founding charities, including Rethink Mental Illness, and with an increasingly diverse range of partners – including our long-term partnership with Lloyds Banking Group which is now entering an unprecedented sixth year – Mental Health UK delivers a wide portfolio of services which every year helps thousands of people access the support they need.

As Director of Fundraising, you will be on the front line of our new strategic focus, leading on developing and delivering the next phase of our ambitious fundraising strategy. Based out of Rethink Mental Illness, you will lead the charge in growing our income across both organisations and multiple streams, with a particular focus on legacies, individual giving and high net worth individuals. In doing so, you will allow our four founding charities to ensure that more people have the tools they need to live their best possible lives. You will have a strong and growing team underneath you and will be coming into the role with a clear agenda to grow the fundraising effort across both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness.

About You

With strong leadership and management skills, you will have significant experience of developing and delivering fundraising strategies. You’ll have a track record of increasing funding from multiple streams such as individual giving, legacy, HNWI and fundraising events. You will share our values and be committed to playing your part in helping us become an anti-racist organisation.

Your role can either be based from home or you can choose to work in an agile way meaning you can flex between 2 days at our office in Albert Embankment and from home. You will work full-time, on a permanent contract with a salary of circa £65,000 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). You can read more about the rewards you will receive on the full advert on our website.

The closing Date for applications is Sunday 30th January at 23:59.
