Childrens Services Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced individual to lead and manage a service for young carers 0-18’s and their families across Birmingham.
Position: Childrens Services Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35,745 to £42,821
Contract: Fixed term contract, initially until 31st March 2024. Full time, 37 hours per week
Closing Date: 6th February, 2022
Interview: Will take place on 17th February 2022
You will be working for one of the UK's leading children's charities, firmly supported by Christian beliefs and values, helping to support disadvantaged children and their families through delivering projects to support children, young people, their families and communities to find long-lasting solutions to the challenges they face.
The Role:
As Children’s Services Manager you will utilise your experience and knowledge to provide vision, direction, leadership and management in ensuring robust practice and achievement of the best outcomes for the young carers and their families.
You will have direct responsibility for the implementation and compliance with contract requirements and key performance indicators.
About you:
For this role you will require significant professional experience of managing interagency services for children, young people and their families, as well as people management.
Although not essential, specific experience of working with young carers and or young adult carers would be highly beneficial.
You will require a degree level or equivalent qualification (or working towards). You will also need to have a professional qualification in youth and community work, children’s social care, community health, education or equivalent.
To be successful in this role you will need to be committed to, and be competent in, promoting continuous improvement and high quality safeguarding practice.
