This is an exciting opportunity to use your substantial experience in diversity, equality and inclusion work to help the world’s largest independent conservation organisation become a more diverse and inclusive body. A body with a workplace and culture where all employees feel safe, respected, included and empowered to fulfil our mission of delivering a world where people and nature can thrive together.

As Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Adviser, you will collaborate with Senior leaders, managers, and colleagues to provide practical support for the successful implementation and delivery of a DE&I strategy. As a subject matter expert, you will champion and share learning to empower and increase knowledge and capabilities across the organisation. This will involve working with colleagues to ensure we are legally compliant in equality legislation as well as supporting departmental managers with delivery of corporate KPIs. You will also act as a critical advisor to the organisation to ensure DE&I is embedded at all stages of operations from practice development to project planning. You will guide and advise to deliver on DE&I initiatives in a way that engages and energises staff and volunteers too. Important will be the ability to work with our Head of DE&I to ensure consistency of approach and messaging.

For this role, you must have a relevant qualification or substantial experience of DE&I work. This will have given you a sound understanding of UK equality legislation including specific aspects relating to Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. You will have a record of delivering on DE&I projects, initiatives, and programmes in a complex organisation too. Used to working with staff groups and networks, you will be used to developing DE&I objectives or plans and possess extensive expertise in Equality Impact Assessment training completion, evaluation and action.

A good project manager and communicator, you will be effective at building networks and have strong facilitation skills. Comfortable driving change and bringing people along on the journey, you will be the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative working style.

If you possess the in-depth knowledge of diversity issues across the UK to embed DE&I in service delivery and business as usual activities across our organisation, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV with the Supporting Statement highlighting what makes you a good fit for us. We will consider flexible working options such as part-time, job-share or compressed hours.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We are looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
