Programme Lead
Salary: £62k-78k

RSPCA Assured is the RSPCA’s farm animal assurance welfare scheme and ethical food label, and we’ve been helping improve the lives of farm animals for more than a quarter of a century. In that time, we’ve worked with thousands of UK farmers and many of the UK’s biggest food retailers. Ours was the first assurance scheme to be focused on farm animal welfare, and the first to introduce requirements for veterinary health and welfare plans. A recent strategic review articulated a clear new vision, purpose and mission, with four overarching strategic aims and an associated Transformation Programme which will enable us to lay crucial organisation and operational foundations. Once in place, subsequent workstreams will allow us to grow and increase the impact we have on farm animal welfare.

You’ll play a key role in implementing the RSPCA Assured Transformation Programme, successfully delivering the benefits and outputs of those projects to embed business change across the organisation. As well as managing and creating proactive, enthusiastic and delivery-oriented project teams, you’ll build and sustain key stakeholder relationships, take ownership of project delivery, and assess business satisfaction with the results. Reporting to the CEO and joint governance groups, you’ll be accountable for assembling resources, overseeing progress, identifying risks and addressing emerging issues in order to deliver to the highest standards.

Candidates will be accomplished programme and change managers, with extensive experience of delivering complex enterprise-wide projects. Sensitive to the journey we’re making – but always ambitious to get us there – you must demonstrate that you understand the importance of placing people at the heart of change, and be able to convince us that you can engage colleagues and bring them with you. Able to move easily from strategy to implementation, you must be flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity. With a full repertoire of project management and change techniques, your experience and professional credibility will allow you to quickly take your place in our senior team.
