Membership and Training Manager
Salary Band: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
Location: Woodstock, Oxfordshire
Our client is a national charity and leading expert in rural community-owned businesses. Working with over 1,000 community businesses - including shops, pubs, woodlands, farms, and anything that lends itself to community ownership – their services help communities UK-wide to develop and safeguard assets and services which address a range of issues including isolation, loneliness, wellbeing, work, and training.
They are seeking to grow and develop their membership network and build on their membership package, including the core programme of training and webinars, to ensure that all community businesses can access the very best advice and support at every stage. They are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Membership & Training Manager to join the team.
To be successful in the role, you will be enthusiastic about the charity’s vision for thriving, resilient and inclusive rural communities and the role of community businesses in helping to achieve that. You will be an excellent communicator with a proven aptitude for building solid relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have demonstrable experience of working in a membership environment and coordinating training activity. Your ability to think and act strategically will enable you to raise the profile of the organisation, attract new members and engage with existing members, and coordinate a programme of activity and benefits that meets the needs of community businesses across the UK.
A team-oriented, collaborative individual, you will demonstrate your ability to engage at all levels, and to inspire confidence in team members. You will be able to make clear decisions under pressure, and manage a demanding workload, expectations, and priorities to yield results.
