About Us:

Our vision is a world where all girls are valued and take action to change the world.

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the umbrella organisation for Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting globally. We are the largest global voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women, representing nearly 9 million girls in over 150 countries. Through our organisational mission, we empower girls and young women to develop their fullest potential. We work across a number of programme areas which contribute to the sustainable development goals, including tackling violence against girls and women, climate action and leadership.

WAGGGS keeps the global movement thriving, united and growing.

About the Role:

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of girls and young women around the world?

We are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to join our Global Foundations Team. Working closely with the Head of Global Foundations, you will generate new voluntary income streams from internationally-focussed trusts and foundations, based primarily in the UK, USA, Canada and Europe. You will also have responsibility for stewarding a small portfolio of existing partnerships with trusts and foundations.

This is an exciting time to join a growing team, as we expand our portfolio of projects and partners and work to bring substantial new funding for projects supporting girls and young women.

About You:

As the successful candidate, you will have a proven successful track record in securing and managing grants from trusts and foundations.

You will be adept at building and maintaining solid working relationships with senior stakeholders and trust/foundation donors, including in cross-cultural settings. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of securing funding for international programmes.

The role will suit someone who is passionate about issues affecting girls and young women, experienced in building new partnerships and driven to win significant new funds for projects which will change girls’ lives.

You will have a good track record of writing successful proposals and delivering agreed fundraising targets.

French, Spanish or Arabic language skills, in addition to English, are desirable.
