We are delighted to be partnering with the UK's national charity that's dedicated to bone health and osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is one of the most urgent challenges to living well in later life and over 3.5 million people in the UK live with the condition, a number that will continue to increase as the population continues to age.

This charity aims to raise the profile of osteoporosis and bone health within the NHS, public life and civil society, making it the top of the public health agenda - with the ultimate goal of creating a future without osteoporosis.

They have come through the pandemic in fighting shape for the future and are currently implementing a new strategy focussed on campaigning, public engagement, research and first rate support services. To support them with this The Board have identified a need to strengthen their expertise within digital, marketing, HR, finance and fundraising and are looking for new Trustees to join them in these areas.

If you have a background in digital, marketing, HR, finance or fundraising and want to make a difference to people's lives allowing them to live well and preventing future generations to suffer from bone disease please apply, they need your help.

The appointment would be initially for a 3 year term with the possibility of renewal.

The time you need to dedicate will be approximately 1 day a month. Trustees are required to commit sufficient time to work alongside members of the Senior Leadership Team providing expertise, support and challenge. They hold four Board meetings a year during normal working hours which last approximately 4 hours plus an additional strategic planning/board development meeting.

Trustees may be asked to join a sub board committee and the potential for 2-3 ad hoc meetings per annum on top.

The charity is headquartered in Bath it is expected that while it is possible for virtual attendance for meetings, ad-hoc travel to the office will be required.

The charity welcomes applicants that reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.
