We are dedicated to ensuring that patients get access to the right treatment at the right time, and to improving standards of treatment and care through research, education and awareness raising. We also provide a range of information and support services to patients, family, and friends to help deal with a diagnosis of myeloma.

About the role

Our Fundraising team relies on voluntary donations and fundraising activities. This is an exciting new post. The role of Senior Philanthropy Officer will be pivotal to developing relationships with high-level donors and growing this income stream in the Philanthropy Team. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Chair and Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to coordinate a significant pipeline as well as being responsible for their own portfolio of relationships, securing several five-figure plus gifts.

About you

You will be a strong relationship builder and excellent communicator, with a high level attention to detail.  You will also have experience of project management. Working closely with the Philanthropy Officer you will provide support during events, and you will keep in touch with regular supporters to drive retention. You will be independent in managing a personal portfolio, and passionate about working for Myeloma UK.
