Corporate Philanthropy Manager

London with some travel to Surrey and Salford

35 Hours per week

Circa £40,000 per annum depending on experience

The Royal Horticultural Society has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years.  Best known for our world famous flower shows and gardens, our charitable work is diverse and includes connecting millions of children with plants and nature, and conducting pioneering horticultural scientific research.

We believe everyone in every village, town and city should benefit from growing plants to enhance lives, build stronger, healthier, happier communities and create better places to live.  We want to enrich everyone’s life through plants and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place.  As part of this ambition, in May 2021 we opened a brand new fifth garden, RHS Garden Bridgewater, in Salford.

We are looking for an experienced corporate fundraiser to join the Fundraising Team based in our London office.  In this new role you will fundraise from a variety of companies and sectors to raise money for a range of projects and programmes across the RHS.  You will be a proactive fundraiser who can confidently communicate our plans and influence people.

Building on a strong existing network of companies, your role will be to help us expand our networks and manage the cultivation and engagement process to secure significant charitable funding from the corporate sector. Reporting to the Head of Statutory and Trust Funding, you will be happy to travel to our gardens and shows as needed, working closely with colleagues across the RHS.

This is an exciting time join the RHS as we complete our £160 million strategic investment programme in the next two years, and move on to fundraise for a variety of new projects including our scientific research, sustainability projects and new programmes throughout the UK.
