About Our Client

Our client provides affordable housing for more than 4,200 families. With an annual turnover of circa £25 million, they are a community-based local housing provider, with 165 colleagues including a significant direct labour team.

They believe that everyone should have access to a warm, safe, affordable home.

Since their creation in 2003, they have been committed to increasing the availability of affordable housing in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. In fact, in 2018 they pledged to build a further 1,000 affordable homes in the area by 2028.

In September 2020, they secured a private investment of £80m to support the delivery of new homes and invest in improving their older properties. They also secured a government grant of more than half a million pounds from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund in 2021 to support a full retrofit pilot project at a number of their homes in Blakeney.

As a small local housing association, they are truly part of the local community. Over the years, they have supported many community events and projects, working with local schools, the police and other community partners.

They not only want to provide affordable homes, they want to create great homes that support communities.

Working with them

They have adopted a hybrid model of working where their people work flexibly in the most effective ways possible. At the heart of that is their continued commitment to a physical office presence close to their communities in the Forest of Dean. Time spent in the office is about visible leadership and enabling them to engage with teams and create a culture focused on delivering high-quality customer services.

They are committed to delivering services that embrace diversity, equality, inclusion and fairness and welcome applications from people from a range of backgrounds and life experiences.
