As one of five regional divisions, they oversee and work with academies in the South-West of England primarily located in and around Bristol. As they grow, they are now seeking a Regional Deputy Finance Manager to work out of their offices in Brislington.

The Role
As the Regional Deputy Finance Manager, you will be tasked with pursuing relentless high standards across the organisation’s entire financial portfolio, supporting their financial health and ensuring compliance. You will deliver robust financial management, governance and administration work that supports the organisation’s trust.
Working as part of a team to service the South-West, you will be involved in the production of budgets and long-term financial plans, budget monitoring reports and internal checks and balances.
You will process end of period returns, ensuring absolute accuracy, whilst supporting and line-manging a team of Finance Assistants in the processing and production of purchase orders and invoices, banking and payroll data.
About You
To be considered as the Regional Deputy Finance Manager, you will need:
- Financial Management experience including regular, efficient and detailed monitoring of accounts against spending and budget plans
- Experience of providing advice and guidance on finance-related matters to relevant stakeholders
- Transactional finance and payroll experience
- Detailed knowledge of financial planning and budgetary control processes, with the ability to lead the development of a three year financial plan
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and balance strategic and planning activities
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- To be proficient in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and computer-based accounting packages
- Educational qualifications to A level standard or equivalent
- To hold an AAT qualification or similar
