The Role

You will oversee and manage all aspects of Stallcombe’s finances along with a small team.

Controlling our income and expenditure well and preparing management accounts are key aspects of this role.

Ideally you will have a Diploma in Charity accounting (through the ICA) and/or at least one recognised professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant.

Candidates with a degree in finance or business administration plus CCA, ACCA or CMA qualifications will also be considered.

You will need at least 5 years post qualification experience.

The Charity

Stallcombe House is a residential care home and working environment for 33 adults with a range of learning disabilities.

We provide a happy and safe home and workplace within a rural setting in which each person can develop to the maximum of their ability. We do this by providing a supportive environment which is very person centred with services designed around the individual.

We set out to encourage our residents to fulfil their potential and enhance their day to day living by being involved in the activities of the farm and other work areas. Residents help maintain the gardens and our land and help to look after our animals – plus of course helping to sell our organic eggs! We do this on our 55-acre site near Woodbury in East Devon, an area which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

In non-covid times our residents can choose to be involved in a full programme of regular activities which are held here at Stallcombe and of course, off site. This can be anything from meals out, to holidays in the UK and abroad.

As a charity we have a vision to grow and evolve our services to the benefit of current residents and new customers in the future and as such we have ambitious plans which include;

· Upgrading of our buildings and on-site facilities

· Establishing Supported Living and Floating Support services locally but nearby to Stallcombe. This means that we would be able to offer both current and new residents the opportunity to live more independently but supported by the Stallcombe Team

· Establish a dementia care home for people with a learning disability with specialised accommodation and teams to support this.

· Establish a Training facility based at Stallcombe which will provide a ‘best in class’ training facility for our in-house team and external customers.

New Senior Roles

To support our aspirations, we are creating 4 new Senior roles based here at Stallcombe.

· Head of Finance

· Head of Care Operations

· Head of Human Resources and Administration

· Head of Facilities

These new roles will appeal to individuals who are ready to make the next move in their career and are able to share and make a significant contribution in helping to develop our ambitious plans going forward.

Please note this is not a remote position.
