An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients Governance, Risk & Assurance team for a Procurement Lead to join them.
You’ll provide leadership and direction for all procurement and contracting activities across the business, this will include supplier management and development, strategic planning and execution, and contract and risk management activities. The role will work with colleagues to provide practical and accessible advice to service users on all aspects of procurement and contracting, including advising on contract and supplier failure.
Leading their professional, pro-active and value-adding Procurement function, you'll ensure the process for users is simple and enables some “self-serve” procurement activity with minimal input from the Procurement team.
Holding a relevant Qualification (e.g. in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent experience, you’ll ideally have worked within the social housing sector. They’re looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of Procurement legislation and of how to develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with this and that can draft Procurement policies/procedures. With in-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms, you’ll have experience of supplier selection, negotiation and complex contract management, delivering cost and savings targets.
