Civitas Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a great charity focused on working with those living with older age and committed to fighting loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. The charity looks to inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation. An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and driven candidate to join the charity as their new Support and Development Officer. As a Support and Development Officer within the volunteer experience team, you will be part of a passionate team creating a portfolio of services aimed at tackling loneliness and isolation in older people. The role is a full time, permanent role working from home.


Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will be passionate about working for a social cause and will be able to demonstrate this through either paid or unpaid work experience. You will be highly personable and have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. You will be competent using CRM’s, Microsoft packages and reporting internally and have good project management skills. You will also possess great customer service skills, demonstrating empathy and effective query resolution. An interest in learning about loneliness, social isolation, and factors that have an impact on the ageing population would be an advantage however it is not essential for this role.
