Job Details
As Senior Press and PR Officer you will manage a busy press office, deal with queries from national and local journalists, deliver pro-active media strategies and help build the positive profile of a membership body.
If you are highly-motivated, have heaps of energy and excited by working in a fast-paced press office this role will be perfect. In this newly created role your focus will be to mentor the press officer’s and work closely with the Head of PR to alleviate their busy workload.
The role will see you utilise your strong writing skills. You will take queries, source stories, draft statements and take leadership of a busy press office. This position is paramount in taking the organisation’s reputation to the next level. You will use high levels of judgement to balance risk, raise the profile of the organisation across the UK and protect the reputation of both the organisation and the profession they support.
Supporting 50,000 members across the UK, the health focused membership body have an exceptionally high media profile, particularly at the moment during the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s an exciting time to join the team!
Full-time, permanent role.
Salary £43,076 (£39,576 base, plus £3,500 out of hours allowance)
Location- Hybrid. 2-3 days in Euston, North West London, 2-3 days flexibly from home.
Flexibility to accompany staff and members to press meetings.
Firm closing date Friday 10th December 10.00am.
