Customer Services Manager

Do you have previous experience working in customer services, call or contact centres? Would you like to help change billions of lives, including yours?

This role will help the charity achieve its long-term strategy by building the movement for humane farming, through a supporter services and stewardship programme that demonstrates our client’s exceptional levels of care and loyalty to supporters. The post holder will lead a dedicated team to develop and deliver supporter engagement that maintains and deepens relationships with donors, fundraisers, campaigners, and our client’s online communities.

The post is based at our client's headquarters in Godalming, Surrey (45 minutes from London Waterloo), with some remote working. The office is a 3-minute walk from Godalming mainline train station.

Customer Services Manager Requirements:

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a passion for, and a deep understanding of, customer/supporter care. This will be matched by a successful track record in staff management; excellent project and process management skills; a talent for effective, engaging written and verbal communication; and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Last but not least, the successful applicant will be able to use their professional and creative skills to achieve the ‘wow’ factor in our client's conversations with all current and potential members of the movement to end factory farming.

About Our Client:

Our client is the leading international farm animal welfare charity, campaigning to improve the lives of millions of farm animals through advocacy, lobbying for legislative change, and positive engagement with the global food industry.

Their work is based on scientific evidence and best practice and as such they are recognised as the credible partner on farm animal welfare to the major food retailers, food service companies, manufacturers and producers.

Our client is located in bright, modern offices; just 2 minutes’ walk from Godalming mainline station (45 minutes from London Waterloo). Regular international travel, mainly in Europe but occasionally outside Europe as well, will be required.

Location: Godalming HQ (some remote working may be possible)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37 per week
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)
