Who we are…
We are a global, non-profit, strategic organisation committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world. We are reaching an estimated 15.4M people around the world through 14,600 partner communities and 2,200 project sites.
Our programs are based on an innovative, holistic approach, which empower women and men living in rural communities to become agents of their own development and make sustainable progress in hunger and poverty reduction.
Our team is all around the world… from our program countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America, to our partner countries such as the USA, Australia, UK and across Europe. We are all industrious, passionate, and committed: our team is a mighty force of changemakers living around the world.
Here in the UK, we are a small but awesome team in our global scheme of things. Together we have an entrepreneurial attitude and big ambitions to grow and scale our impact significantly over the next three years. So, if you’re ready to be part of something bold.... Come and join us.
What we need…
We are looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial leader to step in and lead our efforts to scale our fundraising and operations here in the UK. You will plan, actively manage, and oversee fundraising, partnerships, and operations, while ensuring impeccable financial sustainability.
The ideal candidate would have more than 5 years leadership experience (with a sales, marketing, or fundraising background), but a background in charity is not essential. We’re looking for someone truly collaborative who is happy working with our other partner and program countries; exploring corporate partnerships and someone excited about the possibilities of partnering with digital platforms to expand our reach. As long as you can enrol people in a vision, get people taking action, mobilise funds and get things moving… you’re our person
How to apply:
If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, please send the following to Manda Lakhani (manda.lakhani@thehungerproject.org.uk)
- CV and cover letter
- A 5-minute video (uploaded for viewing online with a private link please) telling us why you are the perfect person for the role.
Successful applicants will be notified by email to schedule an interview.
Applications close Monday 13th December
We look forward to hearing from you.
