Communications Officer (Home based within the UK)

Civitas Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a great charity focused on working with those living with older age and committed to fighting loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. The charity looks to inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation.  A fantastic opportunity exists for a Communications Officer to join the team and focus on communication with the charities substantial number of volunteers. The role will be responsible for a range of communication tools including paper promotional material, mailings, and e newsletters. You will also be responsible for creating content for the attraction, on boarding and exit plans for the charity’s volunteers.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will possess extensive communications experience having excellent copy writing and content production skills. You will be confident and possess excellent interpersonal skills as you will work across a number of specialisms to help assist you in your role. You will be an effective project manager and be able to work with multiple assignments with often conflicting deadlines. Charity sector experience will be an advantage however not essential, although a clear passion for working within the sector must be identifiable in your application.
