About our organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That's because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, support and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it's needed the most.

About the opportunity

The Soil Association's expertise is in ever greater demand, and the growing fundraising team is rising to the challenge of accessing the resources to enable us to meet this interest. The trusts and statutory team has an enviable track record; securing a number of multi-million-pound grants in recent years and being responsible for £3 – 4 million income annually. We work with colleagues across the organisation and a wide range of funders, discussing healthy school food at one moment and the impact of soil health on climate change the next. The role gives the opportunity to learn from the wider fundraising team and make a vital contribution to its success.
