Portland College is one of the largest independent charities in Nottinghamshire, we deliver excellent programmes to inspire and empower people with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives at both our Mansfield campus and our growing number of community hubs. The charity has exciting plans to develop and expand as part of our 2021-26 strategic plan.

Our main 32-acre woodland campus in historic Sherwood Forest, houses the award-winning Woodland Adventure Zone and new for 2021, the spectacular Newstart Theatre and Sports Hall both of which were financed through fundraising.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a fundraising manager to join our energetic team and help us to deliver our ambitious 2021-26 strategic plan. You will build on our current fundraising success and help the charity engage with a wider range of donors.

As the fundraising manager at Portland College you will lead our fundraising team to raise the vital income needed for a wide range of exciting projects including capital projects and revenue funded programmes.

You will build on existing relationships with trust and grant makers, develop digital campaigns to increase opportunities to raise funds.

You will be target focused with experience of fundraising in a charity, social enterprise or community setting. You will have a proactive and positive approach to problem solving and be able to use a variety of skills to meet targets and to support team members.

As a fundraising manager you will be an ambassador for the College, build relationships and networks and identify opportunities to raise funds. You should have an innovate approach to problem solving and be self-motivated. This is varied and exciting role with realistic targets and support for professional development.

You must be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a successful proven track record of applying new, innovative approaches to fundraising.

There is scope for hybrid working in this role and supporting the occasional weekend event and attending meetings across the region will be required.
