Come together with us and join the Keep Wales Tidy Board of Trustees

Keep Wales Tidy reaches into the heart of communities throughout Wales. We are a registered charity with a team of bold and inspiring people and we deliver programmes which are specifically tailored to support the people of Wales and improve the quality and sustainability of the environment in which we live and work.

We operate a number of national and international programmes in Wales including Caru Cymru -  an ambitious new national partnership project with local authorities and Welsh Government, aimed at encouraging communities to take action to eradicate waste and litter from our landscape. Additionally, we also run the prestigious award schemes, Green Flag for Parks, Green Key for the hospitality and tourism sector and of course Blue Flag Coastal Awards.

We currently have a vacancy on our dynamic Board for a Treasurer/Finance expert. It is a role that will give you the opportunity for real personal development.

The Treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the Board of Trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.

We are looking for passionate people, innovative individuals with enthusiasm for our values and the financial skills and acumen to help us deliver our objectives and services as effectively as possible and to take the charity on our continuing bold journey.

This is a voluntary, unpaid appointment, although reasonable travel expenses will be paid.

You will be prepared to attend at least four Board meetings a year and the Audit Committee that meets each quarter.

We want to try and ensure that our Board is representative of the people of Wales – the people we work with every day, so if this is an opportunity that you have been looking for, please get in touch with us. If our work matters to you, we’d love to hear from you.
