Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a children hospice in their search for a Community Events Fundraising Manager in order to cover maternity leave for one year.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to grow the charity s community events portfolio, focussing to deliver income and net growth through the community events and challenge events programme. You ll collaborate with internal teams and forge vital relationships with external stakeholders to create opportunities and partnerships looking at new ways of working to drive growth across the portfolio. Setting, managing and reporting of budgets are all key elements of this role.


Ideally you will have:

A proven successful track record of planning and delivering community events to achieve a good return on investment
Experience of working within a team to deliver successful events
Experience of delivering financial results against agreed objectives, targets and timescales
Experience in evaluating events
Experience of working with third party event providers (e.g. London Marathon)
Experience of devising marketing strategies or campaigns to promote events
Budgeting of income and expenditure for events including calculating ROI
Developing new events in competitive market place
Experience of managing and supervising volunteers
Extensive experience of dealing with the general public by telephone and through written communications
Experience of working in a multi- disciplinary team
A full clean UK driving licence and access to a car
