We’re Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and the Western Eye.
 
Our fundraising initiatives, including major appeals, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and community events, make our essential work possible.
 
We are now looking for an Arts Engagement Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week.

The Role
 
As an Arts Engagement Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our growing arts programme.
 
Variety is key in this role and you’ll ensure we deliver a fantastic array of activities to patients of all ages whether that’s at their bedside, online or in groups. From art workshops to music, gardening and dance, you’ll oversee the programme schedule and give a heads up to NHS staff in preparation for the visit.
 
You’ll provide effective support to our bigger projects such as our artist in residence programme, Staff Arts Club (for NHS staff), Charing Cross patient garden programme and our museum partnership programme.
 
Additionally, you will:
 
- Help co-develop new projects with the Arts Engagement Manager
- Develop and manage volunteer roles within the programme
- Co-ordinate our communications activity in both digital and print
 
About You
 
To join us as an Arts Engagement Co-ordinator, you will need:
 
- Previous participatory arts experience including wider, multi-disciplinary arts
- Experience delivering arts workshops within a community setting
- Experience supporting larger collaborative arts projects such as art, music or dance events or displays
- Good knowledge of contemporary, socially engaged arts practice
- The ability to work effectively with external organisations
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office programs, web-based systems, CRM databases as well as designing resources
- An understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding principles
- A high standard of literacy
- The ability to travel between our five hospital sites in north west London
 
A background in music or other performing arts would be beneficial to your applications, as would a BA, MA or other relevant qualification in participatory arts, music, theatre studies, art history or fine art.
 
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to work some evenings and weekends including a minimum of one Saturday per month for which time off in lieu will be given.
