Researcher – Waste Education
We are looking for a Researcher with an interest in waste education in schools to join an award-winning Centre for Social Innovation
You will be working for an iconic and dynamic charity, providing first-class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, they have campaigned for cleaner, greener places and delivered programmes aimed at encouraging organisations and individuals to reduce their environmental impact. The work of the charity has never been more informed, important and urgent.
Position: Researcher
Location: London office in Vauxhall (with potential for home-working), with regular travel across north London.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,150 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract for a period of 6 months with possible extension

About the role:
This is a new opportunity for a Researcher to join an award-winning Centre for Social Innovation to design, develop and deliver a research project with north London primary schools to help shape the North London Waste Authority’s education programme around waste prevention and recycling.
The Centre for Social Innovation develops and pilots new ways to prevent waste and litter and improve local places. Work focuses on understanding the root causes of problems and uses behavioural science to create real and lasting change. The organisation works in partnership with private, public and academic organisations across the country to carry out research to better understand why people behave the way they do and use this evidence to help us develop positive and impactful interventions.
About you:
As a Researcher you will have experience in the design, development and delivery of research projects, and be adept at managing practical projects with a range of stakeholders. Excellent data analysis skills are a must, along with report writing flair.
As Researcher you will work closely with a Senior Researcher, so the organisation are open to applications from promising individuals at the start of their research career. You will be passionate about shaping the future of waste education in schools and available for an immediate or near-immediate start.
