Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul are seeking an experienced Charity Accountant to support the Business Executive Officer in all areas of the Charity’s financial accounting responsibilities. You will be responsible for the production of timely, complete and accurate accounts, supported by reconciliations and auditable financial records for the Charity.

The post holder will also have responsibilities for the production and consolidation of the accounts of DC Services and provide support and training for its 6 subsidiaries.

Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul is a charity that is dedicated to serving the corporal and spiritual needs of poor, vulnerable and marginalised people.

This is a new role within our Head Office, and so the successful candidate will need to have previous relevant experience working in an accounts department, and be proactive in establishing themselves and building positive relationships within our small and friendly team.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree and accounting qualification.  Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures with experience of producing, preparing and interpreting management accounts and other financial reports are essential requirements. You will also have strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, and be able to use MS Excel and SAGE to a high level.
