I am delighted to be working with an amazing children's charity in search of a Head of Data, Insight and Evidence (37hr week). This role is to provide a high-quality responsive service to colleagues across the charity ensuring their data, information/insight and evidence needs are met in line with priorities.

Main duties:
To project manage the process of own work, colleagues and virtual task/finish teams.
To fulfil the function of Professional Lead for service user data, electronic casefile and management information systems.
To ensure those systems generate the contractually required performance information for commissioners and grant givers (and is provided routinely to local and area managers).
To fulfil the role of Lead person responsible for the charity Outcomes and Impact framework.

Performance Indicators - contributing toward achieving against the Annual Charity Plan

As per Annual Charity Plan, 'Balance Scorecard' performance measures as reportable to both the Standards and Outcomes subcommittee, External communications and Fundraising subcommittee, full Board of Trustees, and against specific project plans. You are also responsible for modelling their three core values being: compassionate, hopeful and inclusive.
Job Description:
Providing Excellent Services
To play the lead role in ensuring the ISO 9001 standard is retained annually and there is a quality management system in place that meets the on-going quality standard.
To ensure there are robust standards, policies and processes including data naming conventions as required for data analysis tasks.
To oversee the secure storage, cleansing and compliance with procedures and processes for data collection working in partnership with Services, IT, the ECF/CMS provider, and other stakeholders.
As lead person responsible for the charity Outcomes and Impact framework to ensure that it is routinely used and useful to all internal stakeholders and comprehensible externally.
To support the celebration of success and the promotion of best practice by analysing the data and information (about outcomes and impact) evidencing our work with children and young people.

Managing self and others
To ensure the team run sound processes and systems for collecting, collating and reporting on routinely required and ad hoc (as directed) information e.g. H&S, Safeguarding, Supervision.
To ensure that management reports are timely and meaningful, providing both qualitative and impact evidence useful to the required charitable purpose.
To ensure that the team maintains up to date knowledge on system developments, information security and relevant developments in data analysis.
To ensure the data team are supervised, appraised and managed in line with performance management processes.
Use and embed up to date project management methodologies and lead on the roll out of new processes and project management tools when required.
To model a professional style that encompasses the organisations values and centres on delivering against objectives, acting resourcefully i.e. identify options and solutions to problems.

Managing resources
To ensure that the MIS protocols and practice comply with the Data Protection regulation.
To own and manage licenses and permissions for staff access to InForm (e-case file system).
To ensure the team work flexibly in delivering training and workshops to support staff in the use of data to critically support their work.
To support inspectorate and regulator audits and inspections as required.
To manage the contractual relationship with providers and consultants relevant to the job purpose.
Analyse complex data and collating information and presenting it clearly to a range of audiences (including writing in a style that is clear, concise and compelling).
To promote a culture of collaborative working across functions in order to complete work, together.
Person Specification:
Evidence of recent, self-directed, professional development in your professional field which is relevant to the post's main purpose.
Experience of using reporting tools, handling and analysing data, information, evidence to enhance charitable outcomes and impact. Extensive experience of maintaining and developing systems using databases, spreadsheets and bespoke products/systems.
Experience of supervising staff or leading a staff team.
Experience of working and liaising with senior colleagues.
Success in adapting systems to cater for new service activity types.
