About the Organisation
The Manchester YMCA was established in 1846 to provide health and wellbeing services to a growing urban population. Now based in the historic Castlefield basin, as well as the Y Club leisure facilities the YMCA runs Youth & Community programmes that help improve the lives of disadvantaged young people throughout Manchester and Salford. Our trading subsidiary, the Castlefield Hotel, is on the same site offering 48 rooms of quality hotel accommodation together with bar and conference facilities. We have 45 employees and a turnover of £2.5m.
