Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham.  We require an enthusiastic Funding Officer to join our busy Community Projects Department, supporting those who are marginalised, the destitute, the homeless, rough sleepers, refugees, asylum seekers and migrants and older people.  Either home or head office based the post holder will also spend time in our partnership community projects across Birmingham and surrounds.

Our projects are a mixture of direct accommodation provision, outreach and community-based services delivered by staff and volunteer teams.  This role will work alongside our key projects including Tabor House, Brushstrokes Community Project, Fatima House, Sophia House and Young at Heart.  All our projects work in partnership with others, the role will also provide support and guidance to some of our partner independent charities/organisations including Maryvale Community Project, Hope Community, St Chads Sanctuary and Caritas Archdiocese of Birmingham,

We are looking for a positive and committed individual who understands working in the community and can help us to secure the funding we need to continue to develop and deliver projects to those most in need. With knowledge and experience of researching and writing funding bids for charitable trusts, National Lottery, other large funders, statutory grants and tenders, the successful candidate will lead on bids as well as being part of local bid writing teams.  The post holder will have excellent communication, planning and IT skills with knowledge on outcomes, monitoring and budget setting. In addition they will be flexible, have access to a car and be able to work to tight deadlines.
