Salary of £24,000 per annum
Full Time 37.5 hours a week

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and, and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Their research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

The Role

The Writer - Trust Officer is a vital part of this mission and your excellent writing skills and relationship building will help us achieve our ambitions.

Supporting colleagues in the Trusts and Philanthropy team and the Corporate Partnerships team, you will also manage your own portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations, writing bespoke funding applications to help fund our support services and medical research.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent written communication skills to produce text that is inspiring, concise and informative
- Confident speaking on the phone
- Ability to work proactively under own initiative
- Team player willing to work with and support colleagues across the organisation

As part of the interview process, you will be required to complete a written exercise.
