There are around 130,000 people in the UK with Multiple Sclerosis (MS); and over 5,500 of them live in Wales.  This charity’s ultimate goal is to find a cure, and rid the world of a condition which can devastate those affected by it.

Until then, they fulfil the needs of their community by putting people affected by MS at the centre of everything they do. They campaign at all levels, fund ground-breaking research and provide award winning support and information.

This charity’s work is rooted in what people affected by MS have told the organisation is most important to them.  To accomplish this, they work very closely with their enthusiastic and committed volunteers, many of whom have MS.

Volunteers are absolutely essential and key to ensuring the creation, success and continuation of our grassroots development and support projects.

These are very unpredictable and challenging times, and this charity is going though unprecedented change.  This had led to many positive new developments, and they have been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund in Wales’ People and Places grant, towards their project called ‘Pontio’ (To Bridge).

The Pontio team champion the lives, families and carers of people living with MS in Wales and ensure that they have access to the support they require, at the time of their choice, delivered in a way that best suits their individual needs.

They are now seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer, who’ll support the Pontio Volunteer Officer in their work.  As the first point of contact for the project, you’ll need an excellent phone/video manner, and be proficient using Microsoft Office software to collate data, generate results and write reports.

The right candidate will have recent experience of working in a dynamic office environment, confident using multiple bespoke ICT systems, and enjoy working with a variety of people from volunteers to specialist healthcare professionals.

This exciting part-time contract (17.5hpw) is on a fixed term up to 30 September 2023.  The starting date will be confirmed upon appointment.

We offer 27 days annual leave (pro-rata and excluding bank holidays), travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.

Closing date: 9am on 9th November

Please note this role will require a standard Disclosure check (as the role will involve one-to-one contact with vulnerable adults).
