Programmes Coordinator (Fixed term until September 2022)
Salary: £32,310
Contract Type: Fixed term until September 2022
Region: UK Office, Birmingham (with some remote working)

Our client a federation of charities mobilising practical community action on poverty and the environment across the UK, are looking for someone who shares their passion for helping communities in need and improving local environments to play a key role in the management of delivery programmes running all across the UK. They are currently seeking to fill the position of

Programmes Coordinator within the established Contracts team at their national office based in Birmingham.

This is a critical role within the team, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of a small portfolio of funded programmes. Key functions will include relationship management with their funders and partners, developing and implementing monitoring and compliance procedures, and working with practitioners to deliver high performing programmes that maximise impact for their beneficiaries.

Responsibilities will change along with their portfolio of contracts and programmes. However, current priorities for the role include:

  • Overseeing a DWP-funded national youth employment scheme, focused on creating short term work placements within the Federation, alongside a national training programme and youth network
  • Managing two grant programmes focused on economic regeneration and employment support for those furthest from the labour market
  • Supporting their role in a national delivery partnership focused on embedding outdoor education in schools

They are seeking an individual who can quickly understand the breadth of their activity, can work with minimal supervision, and who is able to manage multiple work streams in a busy but rewarding environment.
