We are looking for a Community and Events Fundraiser to join the fundraising team to raise vital income to enable the organisation to care for people with life limiting illnesses in the community.

Position: Community and Events Fundraiser

Location: Wroughton, Swindon. SN4 9BY

Hours: Core hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 per week (ability to work evenings and weekends is essential)

Salary: £22,488 to £25,134 FTE

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 15th November

The Role

Income is raised through various events, activities and platforms working with the community to promote the Hospice. Everyone is passionate about providing excellent supporter care and we are now looking to recruit new team members to join the friendly and committed team.

As Community and Events Fundraiser, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for your own income and expenditure targets within the overall fundraising budget
  • Be a key contact with all or supporters, building robust and sustainable relationships
  • Give an excellent supporter experience by offering support and guidance to groups and individuals organising events and activities in aid of the hospice, helping them to fully maximise their fundraising opportunities
  • Continuously review the community fundraising initiatives
  • Talk to and support a wide range of individuals and groups
  • Be an ambassador for the charity, keen to recruit sign-ups, encourage full fundraising potential and galvanise further support

 

If you have great relationship management and building skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities, this could be the role for you.

About You

As a Community and Events Fundraiser, you will be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to deliver excellent customer/supporter experience. You will be passionate about the work you do and be eager to work and talk to people.

You will have knowledge of event organising/management/promotion and be able to act on your own initiative. In order to fulfil the requirements of the role you must be able drive or have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

About the Organisation

An independent hospice supporting a community of 300,000 people in Swindon, Marlborough and North Wiltshire, and the villages of Lechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire, the charity is a dedicated provider of specialist end of life care services within the area. The Hospice’s multi-professional’s teams support people in the community, in care homes and at the Hospice in Wroughton. Care is also extended to the families and friends of patients.
