Head of Operations
Salary: £48k - £50k per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent
Location: Able to work from home and at our north London office

BSH promotes excellence in the study, research, and practice of haematology for the benefit of professionals and the wider public. Founded in 1960 and with nearly 3000 members worldwide, we are the largest UK haematology organisation and the only society to cover all aspects of the speciality. As an employer, we offer a supportive and friendly environment for our people to develop their skills and make a unique contribution to our mission.

The role

This is a new role at BSH, reporting to the Chief Executive and which you will be able to shape; you will have the opportunity to recruit a more junior role to support you and the operations function.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and other Senior Leadership Team members, you will take overall strategic responsibility for our operations, compliance and governance functions, ensuring that processes, policies and infrastructure are in place to deliver the Society’s strategic goals.

By helping us to scale up our back-office function, the Head of Operations will enable us to serve our community of haematology professionals better and to make further progress with our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and sustainability agenda.

In return, we offer 25 days’ holiday per year, generous pension arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package. As BSH supports flexible working, this role allows you to work from home and also from our office based in north London.

Closing date: 5pm Monday 8th November 2021
Interview dates: 18th,19th, and 22nd November 2021. These will be held remotely.

No agencies please.

The British Society for Haematology is committed to equal opportunities and values diversity in its workforce.
