About Us:

Combat Stress was established in 1919. We are the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

Today we provide UK-wide support to veterans from every service and every conflict, on the phone and online, in the community and at our treatment centres. We're on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So, when a veteran is having a tough time, we're there to help tackle the past and to take on the future.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity to be part of the expanding digital team at Combat Stress. You'll report to the Head of Digital within Marketing & Communications and be working on a variety of digital activities and projects and channels. We need someone to come and really own paid digital marketing, with a hunger for driving great performance. The role has a specific focus on growing audience and supporter engagement and delivering an increase in donations via digital marketing, through search engine optimisation, performance marketing and content generation.

We require a focused individual who is both analytical and creative, able to apply themselves across all aspects of digital marketing. You must be technically proficient using a website content management system such as Drupal and be an instinctive user of analytics, to ensure continuous improvement in the performance of our digital activity and to grow ROI. But above all you'll be able to show us that you're someone who is a creative problem solver able to work under their own steam with minimal day-to-day direction.

At Combat Stress 'Together' is one of our values and as such you'll work closely and collaboratively with the lots of other functions including Comms, Individual Giving and Fundraising. You'll need to show us that you're a strong communicator who can build constructive relationships quickly and with an open and honest personality which inspires confidence and trust.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

What we offer:

You will work within a reputable charity that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our veterans, that has a fantastic cause and a committed follower base.

Benefits:

* 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

* Competitive stakeholder pension scheme - contributions matched up to 10% of salary

* Discount shopping vouchers

* Cycle to work scheme

* Access to the Employee Assistance Programme

Plus many more.

Company

Combat Stress is a registered charity in the United Kingdom offering therapeutic and clinical community and residential treatment to former members of the British Armed Forces who are suffering from a range of mental health conditions; including post traumatic stress disorder.

Our aim is to treat veterans’ symptoms and improve their quality of life. We want to help veterans tackle their past and take on the future.

Veterans with complex mental health conditions need a specialist team made up of different mental health professionals to help them and we provide this. Our clinicians work closely with each other and the veteran to develop a treatment plan that best suits their needs.

We directly employ our own clinical staff to provide our highly specialised treatment to UK veterans at our centres in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our treatment is available online, in the community, through outpatient appointments and also on a residential basis when required.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver specialist treatment for veterans with complex mental health needs, whilst supporting their families and network, to help them tackle the past and take on their future.

Our vision is for all former servicemen and women with complex mental health problems to live full and meaningful lives.

Our Values

Together: We are united in purpose, collaborative in action.

Focused: We're clear about what we will and won't do to deliver the best outcomes.

Bold: We'll do and say what we must to achieve our organisation's vision.

Personal: We respect diversity and appreciate everyone's individual needs and talents.
