Location: London - hybrid working – the successful candidate will be expected to spend 40% of their time at home, and 60% of their time in the London office.

Learning and Work Institute is an independent research, development and policy organisation dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, full employment, and inclusion. We're focused on the big questions. How can we help the labour market recover after the pandemic? How do we help more people to develop their skills in a changing job market?

We are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer to develop and support our business processes, with a particular focus on our Internal Services and Research and Development teams. Your work will be varied, from supporting business development and income generation, to managing our London office and ensuring GDPR/ISO 9001 compliance across the organisation. We also are looking for someone who would be willing to support other functions such as IT, HR and SMT when necessary.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent organisational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of MS Office IT packages. Knowledge of GDPR and/or ISO 9001 is desirable, but not essential.

In return, you will be joining a small, friendly organisation, with a Silver Investor in People award, committed to equal opportunities and learning and development. As such, we would welcome applications from candidates interested in undertaking a Business Administration apprenticeship.

L&W is fully committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in our sector. We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us, and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and identities including applicants with disabilities, BAME, parents, carers, care leavers and LGBTQI+.

L&W prides itself on being a supportive and flexible employer. We recognise the importance of work-life balance for our staff and will consider flexible working arrangements.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for applications is 12pm on Monday 15 November 2021.

We anticipate that interviews will take place via Zoom week commencing 29 November 2021.

Should you require any adjustments to participate in this recruitment process, please make this clear when you apply.
