Purpose of the role

Project Co-ordinator for Families Get Active project.  The post holder will work closely with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to deliver project outcomes.  The role involves working closely with families and co-ordinating project activities within the area and ensuring outcomes are met.

Key areas of responsibilities

Undertake outreach work with relevant organisations to engage families in project activities.
Provide information and advice to signpost individuals to project activities.
Prepare, maintain and distribute information to recruit new students, eg social media, web entries, leaflets.
Work with individuals to monitor and evidence their progress.
Plan, organise and implement workshops, activities at appropriate venues/locations.
Facilitate referrals of students to and from partner networks.
Develop opportunities and support for students to progress into volunteering, WEA mainstream provision, peer support, employment pathways or other community activities, where appropriate.
Ensure all records are maintained and stored securely and confidentially.
Collect and prepare case studies and impact assessments on project outcomes and impact as required and particularly for the end of project, ensuring the voices of students, volunteers and staff are clearly represented.
Other relevant duties at the direction of line manager and Project Manager.

About you

Empowering people from all walks of life is what we are all about, so we are keen to hear from people in disadvantaged or underrepresented groups. Whatever your background, you will need experience of outreach work, engaging and recruiting individuals who are not currently engaging in physical activity and are likely to lack confidence and skills.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience delivering one-to-one support and working with families.
Project management experience is a clear advantage and excellent administrative skills are essential. You will be comfortable using digital technology Zoom/Teams to support the participants in addition to face to face activity.
The role will be home based with travel within the area.
