For over 50 years the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.

This is an exciting opportunity to join NCB’s Participation Team, supporting the Principal Officer to manage a busy and broad portfolio of children and young people’s engagement and participation.  The post holder will take responsibility for the management and delivery of key participation projects including leading our NHS England’s Learning Disability and Autism engagement work. You will also support strategic delivery of Making Participation Work and other teams across NCB in their consultation activities and contacts with children and young people. Experience of developing and delivering engagement with disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs is a must for this post, as is previous experience of project management and working with key stakeholders in senior roles.

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with children and young people, colleagues and external partners to co-ordinate and deliver a range of engagement activities, develop materials and outputs, and contribute to our overall team planning and processes. You will also be responsible for managing CYP data, ensuring safeguarding practices are adhered to, designing and delivering good practice workshops, and reporting against outcomes.  You will be an integral part of a fast-paced team with a strong national profile and reputation for expertise and excellence in delivery.

This role includes out of hours working, agreed in advance.
