You will play an integral role in the efficient running of the finance department and support the Head of Finance in maintaining financial systems, identifying areas that require improvement and implementing changes. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in all aspects of financial management in a hands-on management role.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of all day-to-day finance operations
- Production of management accounts and quarterly forecasts
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts and prepare financial reports
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Financial management of projects
- Implement and maintain financial systems and processes
- Oversee the payroll function and administration of the pension scheme
- Key point of contact for staff, volunteers and budget holders, providing financial support to teams and projects
- Line management of two Accounting Assistants
You will be part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent and have at least three years’ experience of accounts preparation.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of self-initiative is crucial alongside managing your own workload to meet regular deadlines, responding to reactive tasks whilst working on longer-term projects. You’ll also need excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Excel.
As part of a small team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and support the overall objectives where needed.
The role will involve a mix of office and home-based working.
