Digital Fundraising and Direct Marketing Manager

Position: Digital Fundraising and Direct Marketing Manager
Location: The role can be based anywhere across the UK within commutable access to the Head Office in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. You’ll be able to work from home most of the time but must be willing and able to visit our Head Office as required (potentially once a month for team meetings, or for key photoshoots). If you wish to work from the site more often you will be able to do so.
Hours: Full time, 35 hours a week
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role:
The charity prioritises supporter experience across all of their fundraising and marketing. Digital has been a key driver of their recent growth and currently all digital activity is managed in-house. As Digital Fundraising and Direct Marketing Manager you will add to their digital skill set.
Traditional direct marketing and digital fundraising activity sit together in one team. You will lead this team, while taking a hands-on role in digital delivery. The charity operates with an internal agency structure including production, copywriting and in-house video production. This structure provides your team with significant support, including the production of all puppy sponsorship updates, leaving your team to focus on growing and developing income.
This role will have line management responsibility for two direct reports, the Digital and Direct Marketing Fundraiser and Digital and Website Executive.
As Digital Fundraising and Direct Marketing Manager you will have hands-on experience of delivering acquisition campaigns at scale across paid social channels including Facebook, and at least one other paid digital channel, you will also bring with you the following skills and experience:
- A proven track record of income generation against agreed financial targets and other KPIs
- Experience of developing and scaling digital marketing programmes – ideally in the charity sector – across a range of channels including paid social
- A good understanding of general fundraising techniques, but does not need to be an expert in traditional direct marketing activity
- A good understanding of conversion lead web design to deliver landing pages against strategic goals
- A passion to research and test new fundraising channels, propositions, and initiatives
