DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & RESOURCES

Based at Head Office, Colwyn Bay with occasional travel to Swansea

Salary £75k with enhanced benefits

WHO WE ARE

Following the recent merger of four founding charities, our renamed charity - Adferiad Recovery, now boasts an impressive 23 million-pound turn over, employing over 850 employees.

Adferiad combines the skills, knowledge and expertise from each of the founding charities to provide outstanding services for people with mental health and/or substance misuse problems and those with co-occurring and complex needs.

A first of its kind operating in Wales, Adferiad Recovery adopts both a holistic and individualistic approach when designing service user treatment plans, focussing wholly on a full recovery. Adferiad offers services and employment opportunities that aim to ensure service users become and remain free of addiction.  We are proud of our success in making a difference to many thousands of people each year and you can be part of that too!

EXCITING NEW ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Director of Finance & Resources to join Adferiad’s Executive Team.

This is a key role within Adferiad and offers an exciting new challenge within a fast paced, growing and dynamic organisation.

This opportunity has arisen due to the pending retirement of our long-standing Finance Director who reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is part of the Executive Team.  As well as providing strategic and operational financial input at Executive level, you will also give informed strategic advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees.

You will lead a varied portfolio of corporate service areas, which include a subsidiary social enterprise company that provides social impact by offering training, on the job experience and employment opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

This role requires visible leadership on a varied portfolio whilst simultaneously offering hands-on expertise as and when required.

You will be a fully qualified accountant with an ability to maximise funding streams to ensure full cost recovery across the organisation’s contracts.  You will also possess a track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.  Your personal values will align closely to those of Adferiad Recovery, and you will be invested in the Charity’s mission, values, and goals.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

We will offer a competitive salary along with an excellent benefits package and a funded employee assistance scheme that focuses on employee welfare.

We will also offer a re-location package if you choose to live within a 60-minute travelling commute to the Head Office in Colwyn Bay.

By joining an organisation which is a respected leader in the treatment of mental health and substance misuse, you will be granted scope to really make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our society
