Grants Manager
Full time (35 hours/week)
Salary: £29,583 to £37,906 FTE
Remote/home working or office based (London)
Requests for flexible working, and/or secondments will be considered.
This scientific organisation is recruiting for an additional Grants Manager to deliver The Ideas Fund, which was launched in January 2021 and looks to support communities in four locations of the UK (Hull, Oldham, North West Northern Ireland and the Highlands & Islands of Scotland) to build relationships with researchers and test out ideas related to mental wellbeing. This is part of the Association’s mission to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science - they want more people, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in science, to feel that science is relevant to their lives.
The Grants Manager will have lead responsibility for the work in two of the four geographical locations, building strong relationships with local Development Co-ordinators, and working with the rest of the Grants Team to contribute to the successful delivery of the programme. This is a varied role working with a mix of stakeholders, including some groups that are receiving grant funding for the first time.
The role would suit someone who has experience of grant making and is comfortable working with an evolving programme. An understanding of the benefits and risks involved in delivering innovative grant-making approaches is important, as is attention to detail. Partnership working and strong project management skills are also key to the role.
Closing date – 9am Monday 18th October 2021
Interviews – W/c 1st November 2021
You will be informed as soon as possible after the application deadline whether you have been selected for interview.
