Salary: £30,556 - £33,180 per annum pro rata (inclusive of Inner London Weighting)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Locations: Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster City Council

Responsible to: Senior Family Coach

We were delighted to be awarded delivery of a Change4Life service across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster City Council in 2020. The service takes a holistic and community-based approach, improving and promoting the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children and their families with a lasting impact.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a brand new and innovative service that supports both authorities in tackling childhood obesity and health inequalities through a holistic health promotion and community-based approach.

Summary of job:

As a Family Coach, you’ll be passionate about transforming the lives of children, young people and their families. Sharing and embracing the Public Heath agenda, you will work with local authorities to promote national and local public health priorities including healthy eating, physical activity, oral health and emotional wellbeing.

You will play a key role in Change4Life Service’s mission to:

- Deliver an innovative service with a holistic approach to promoting health and wellbeing

- Align with other services that promote similar messages

- Promote a whole systems approach to reduce health inequalities

- Be responsive and flexible to changing local needs

You will have experience of, and commitment to, taking a whole systems and co-productive approach to delivering holistic health promotion support with, and for, Children and Young People (CYP), that seek to identify barriers faced by CYP to their health and wellbeing and supports them with the skills, knowledge and resources to eat well, sleep well, keep active, maintain a healthy weight and increase their emotional wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, passionate and experienced worker with an impressive track record of delivering high-quality evidenced based 1:1 health promotion programmes of support, ideally with experience working in partnership with health care services, to CYP and their families that seeks to reduce health inequalities across communities
