Location: London, London Fields : Hybrid, flexible way of working and many staff work remotely for part of the week. Staff can choose to work in the office or remotely as much as their role allows
Status: Full time, Fixed Term - 6 months
Salary: £57,336 per annum, plus great benefits such as 30 days annual leave and 3 days company x-mas closure

For over 50 years this children's charity has been building a better childhood for all.

The charity is looking for an Assistant Director to support them in expanding their wide-ranging programme of Health work. This varied role will help consolidate and expand their exciting programmes of work across child health including their work nationally and locally to support improved joint working on the SEND agenda; their support to NHS England and Improvement around Learning Disability and Autism and their consultancy work with NHS England Regions and local authorities.

The successful candidate will have expertise in children’s health, and knowledge of the systems across health and local authorities which interplay to plan and commission services.  They should be highly motivated and confident at delivering a consultancy based model of support.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as are strong IT and writing skills, along with experience of supporting agencies with change management, facilitating workshops and matrix managing staff.  You need to be passionate about what you do, have an interest in health and health systems, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working both independently, with team members and with others in partner organisations.
