Job Details

We are delighted to be partnering with a ground-breaking and award-winning charity based in North Westminster, to support the search for their next CEO.

This is one of London's leading youth charities and has over 40 years of experience, with an excellent track record, and exceptionally strong links with the local community. As holders of the Gold Level Quality Mark, they are recognised by London Youth as providers of the highest possible standards of youth work. The organisation is a special place - staff and youth centre users talk of "magic", with generations of families having their lives touched by the work of the charity. The trusted professional staff deliver relevant and inspiring activities for young people to learn in an informal setting, supported by state of the art facilities, a recently revamped suite of music and recording studios, and a professional level kitchen.

Despite the challenges of the last 18 months, the organisation has achieved a period of rapid growth, and the new CEO will join at a pivotal time to continue this journey of success and positive impact to young people. Leading a stable and high performing team, the key priorities for this role will be to work towards long term financial stability, to optimize organisational processes and procedures for the size/complexity of business, and to continue to use the increasing profile of the impact the organisation has on young people to influence broader policy work at a regional and national level.

The next CEO will bring senior strategic experience with strong leadership skills and financial management coupled with creative flair. In addition, you will be collaborative, progressive, empathetic and flexible. You will have supported the design and delivery of organisational strategy at a senior level (either as a CEO or a Director/Head of Department), and you will be a confident communicator - comfortable presenting to key partners and donors. You will have a commercial mindset and ideally an understanding of the non-profit funding environment (although this last point is not essential - in fact, we welcome expressions of interest from candidates with work experience in any sector)

To apply for this role, please either reply to this advert with an updated version of your CV or contact Brigitte Stundner or Matt Adams on executive@tpp.co.uk or 0207 198 6040. In the first instance you will be sent an information pack with details about the role and recruitment process, but the team are on hand to answer any questions that you may have about the role, so please do get in touch if you want a confidential discussion.

The closing date is 9am Friday 15th October 2021.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
